Wow. But on the bright side- if you ever get a speeding ticket, you can just go to court and tell the judge you have a diesel Ranger. Ticket dropped!

what do you expect? the 2.2 perkins diesel offered in the ranger in 1983 had a whopping 59 horsepower... the base, gas, manual everything, 2wd ranger weighs 2800 pounds, this example probably weighs over 3100 pounds because of the diesel... it's gonna be slow... the next slowest ranger is the one with the 2.0 gas engine based off of the 2.3... but it was only offered on base models so there was potential... i've had mine all the way past 85 and (the needle) touching the peg at the bottom...
