I was running my peeps through a dungeon recently, where they had recently fought creatures, and when they came to a locked door they couldn't open- they knocked.
Long story short, the players now know that you NEVER simply knock on a locked door in a dungeon.

@InformationPollution: I was running Warhammer FRP with a well-experienced player who still hadn't learned that. Castle Drachenfels, in the treasury, big evil wizard's treasure chest... truly horrible trap involving dozens of spring loaded blades and a roll on the seriously nasty critical hit table. Long story short, the guy's archery days were over; lost his arm at the elbow.

I was playing DnD recently and we had a player who was relatively new to the game. We were investigating the home of a rogue wizard who went AWOL. The new player finds a jeweled box with his name on it.
Long story short, that player now knows that you NEVER just open a box when Wizards are involved.
