Twitter = Pointless Babble? STFU!

So some publicity hungry so called "marketing research firm" in butt-crack Texas did some "research" that claims 40% of Twitter posts, Tweets, are "pointless babble".
Proving that they have a desperate ignorance of what social interaction IS.

I pity them really, clearly the have no friends they ever talk to about "pointless" stuff just for the sake of interaction with friends, getting to know someone, showing you give a shit about them etc...

Of course, a Twitfreak probably wouldn't ever understand my point. Tell me this....if Twitter didn't exist, would you be phoning or emailing all your friends and family all the stuff you post on Twitter?? Sure, 'small-talk' IS pointless babble. I'm comfortable with saying that.

Now I wouldn't want to deny anyone their 'small-talk', but I'm sure that the internet bandwidth could be used for something far more useful. Like porn. If you have inanity to share - call someone to tell them. If it's not something that you'd call someone about - there's a reason - no-one wants to know; so spare your poor friends from your drivel!

Twitter is almost or basically like Facebook, You can text what you're doing on your wall, you can Tweet what you're doing. You can have followers, or have friends. Twitter has no way of customizing pages like Myspace, so does Facebook. So my point is. If Twitter is pointless, then Facebook should be pointless and Myspace should be the only social network site. -_-, man people need to find facts about saying that Twitter sucks, they say its pointless but they don't know anything about it.

i agree below. i havent used twitter yet mostly because of the name. i literally had no idea what it was until about a month after i heard about it.
