In late 2002, RUV Iceland suddenly appeared on 10818V on Astra 2D. This is the promo film that was shown in a continuous loop for several weeks.

No it was digital. I've taken it off a video tape and converted it for YT

The conversion seems to have speeded the film up a bit. My original copy is the right speed - ah well enjoy the scenary until I get rond to uploading it again

Was this broadcasted the same thing for weeks without anything? Or only like 1 time a day. And does it play this awful music the whole week?

This was part of there election broadcast that year. It was only for testing, and the election. Icelandic Channel 2 was also broadcasting over astra 1 at the time.
