@johnthecarman I am nearly a local, first time I went to this beach I was 2 months old and the first time I surfed there I was 12. This went from being a beach with 20 surfers to a beach with 200 at any given time. The guys are a bit tough, but if it happened in your backgarden you would probably be protective too. Just go there, be respectful and that's it. There aren't that many locals so you were probably dropped in by other guys there.
