I've always wondered... what do the smiley faces mean in this game? The ones that you see when you select the order, I mean.

If the character that died had a smilie face, the next character coming in gets one extra stock. If they had an angry face, next character loses a stock.

Both people are correct. Smiley face for extra stock and a guarantee of partner interrupting grabs, but it is randomish how long it takes for your partner to do so.

Neutral faces have no rise or loss in stock, your partner might help you IE random if you are grabbed.

Angry face, complete opposite of smiley face.

I believe this indicates whether or not the partner will jump in to interrupt a grab.

if they smile or get a long the person in the back ground will jump in to stop a grab.
