The selling of a rare ATV music catalog owned by Australian businessman Robert Holmes à Court. ATV catalog not only have Beatles catalog but also other great black American artists such as Nat King Cole.
"And we had given Paul McCartney first round of refusal. But Paul didn't want it at that time. So Michael Jackson's people approach us and we negotiated with him." said Burt Reuiter, Robert Holmes à Court right hand man that negotiated the ATV deal
"But in fact when Michael bought that music catalog, I'm quite convinced that it wasn't for the Beatles music because he never ever did anything with that. It was actually because what was politically incorrectly call as, by us as, black music. It was the Nat King Cole and all those great Americans singers and dancers" said Janet Holmes a Court.
