That's why they declined to subscribe to the Hague international court before they started the war. They knew they would be in for war crimes.
The only good thing about it is that the US no longer believes that it could shoulder such a war all alone...

I don't understand the easiness to ignore righteousness. Torture shouldn't be permitted - there are better ways to do things, and those who practice it should be frowned upon and dealt with. The government is very quick to be righteous with the common people via ridiculous laws / mandatory sentences.
