Chris makes them sound better live but I will always love Kelli.

art. Some artists actually change that from venue to venue or album to album over their career depending on how they feel about the material or people around. Sometimes singers start out strong and get exhausted by what Chris is doing and eventually become more playful and/or quit touring later.

That's a very good point. He's putting a lot of effort into it. As much as I adore Kelli's voice, she treated live performances as more casual and fun and playful. She did not put in such consistent and serious effort when live. That's just a fact. Some singers put a lot into their live stuff. Some treat it as playtime to just connect with the fans and "the kids" as Kelli would put it. Chris is treating it as

Oh my God I wish they had gone back and recorded Becoming X as the Chris Corner led Sneaker Pimps! THAT would have been interesting.

@magikman79 Without a doubt. Kelli has the pipes. Chris doesn't. You're a fool to think different.
I agree with you claracilly and scarlet.. I think that Chris puts so much more into it. I liked Kelli and all, but she doesn't sound anything like she does on the cd.. and that's disappointing. Chris' vocals are absolutely flawless, and I appreciate his effort and his talent.. He's pretty much amazing. :D

When Chris sings them it kind of gives them a whole different meaning and feeling.
I don't think he's worse than Kelli, and I'm not saying he is better, even though I kind of prefer him...although I loved Kelli...I reckon it's just different.
And the fact that people like either/both singers confirms what a great band they were whatever they did...with two great singers.
I wish they'd done a duet album. That would have been weird/cool.
