"Last Frank and Fran" Frank Burrows/Fran McDonald 2001

The last time I saw Fran McDonald was in L.A. back in 2001. About four hours before my flight back to NY, I recorded some very spontaneous tracks with him on drums and myself on bass. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them, and sure enough, I didn't think about the tracks until a while after Fran passed. I listened to them and erased the bass part--and created what you hear now on top of Fran's incredible drum track. The video is a rambling homage to various parts of our wonderful shared experience. He was the man.

Thank you for posting Frank. I love it. I never had the chance to hear or see Fran play the drums. I miss him each and every day. Especially when I hit the stage. He's amazing on this track
