I wanted to study outside of India as I wanted to experience different cultures. I chose the UK as it is a multi-cultural Country with people from different backgrounds and different cultures. I did some research and spoke to some friends who were studying in the UK about the universities there. I chose Salford because of the course content specifically. I think it has some of the best support for students, especially international students. It's also got a great mix of cultures on campus and the college which I am part of is very encouraging and helpful.
Manchester is a place which is not too fast and not too slow; an ideal place to live and study. I would tell other Indian students who are thinking of studying in the UK that Salford is an excellent place to study, a great experience with a bagful of opportunities for everyone. I would advise them to network with every possible person from current to past students and staff.
After graduation, I would love to own my own marketing company or to have a career with complete financial and mental freedom. I think my course is all about learning about different cultures and as the whole world is all about dealing with people, it would obviously help me to communicate and understand people from different cultures.
