Movie review: Futurama: Into The Wild Green Yonder

Note: Futurama is coming back. Comedy Central has picked the show up for possibly 26 episodes starting in 2010. I am really looking forward to this and they have all the voice actors back to reprise their roles. So let's just hope they continue where this movie leaves off.

Note: They have brought the series back and season 5 aired on Comedy Central and you can buy the episodes on DVD.

I was thinking the exact same thing! They should put like 5 new episodes on a DVD and start there and see how well that sells and then keep doing that and then maybe bring the series back on television or an entire season straight to DVD.

It sucks that you said this movie ended badly. I saw "Bender's Big Score" (own it) and "Bender's Game". I plan on purchasing all of them as I did with the DVD collections.

Now, does this movie wrap it up in a way that it's almost impossible to continue?

Thankfully they ended it in a way where it's fairly open. If they decided to make more episodes or even another movie I don't think they'd have a problem.

No, they didn't know it would come back. In fact they were almost positive it WOULDN'T come back. Matt Groening thought that this would be the most appropriate movie.

I LOVE THAT ENDING!!!!!!!!!! And they did bring it back! They ment to end it that way because they were almost positive that it would come back. (du'h Futurama rules!!!!!) I love the ending. They did that becuase fans don't want direct endings, they wanna guess what happens next, and ITWGY did that. I want Fry and Leela together so I'm one of those people who ADORES that ending. That movie RULES!!!!!!!!! I'm a nerd I love Futurama! Futurama is the greatest TV show EVER!!!!!!!!!!
