DIY Custom Intake Passat 1 8T

So because of people ask how to do it...here it is....excuse my english I usually speak french

Forgot to mention it in the video but from what I've read, don,t use a K&N filter because of the oil on/in it(makes it washable) cause it just accumulate on the MAF and may cause a check engine

Heheheheh...that complete sheet job. This intake make lower power. Oryginal have plenty air from outside with high pressure when you driving quick New one is taking slow, hot air from turbo and exhaust area. All in this case from me.

@Sebastian7224 That's old, I have a new one, with complete heat shield, and the passat is now unitronic stage 1 and the air comes in great!

Hey what size filter fits this car I have 2002 1.8t I got a filter from eBay forgot to check the size but it's 3 1/2 inches and it's too big what size is the one you have

@tbooogiee If you mean the size of the entry, its should be 2.75inches

So you just basically pull the box out and put on the filter?

@BraliFam Yep pull out the airbox and of course took out the MAF in it to put it in between the filter and the turbo inlet pipe.

Thanks... Putting the 007 dv in and the intake in dent cause any scencers to blow did it???
