@CreateCliches I did hear Mozart's Requiem...ouch, it was horrible. It's difficult, and a huge challenge for a highschool choir, and Hanes should've considered the skill of his choir and the difficulty of the piece. Plus Hanes is notorious for giving out only the melody and making students create their own harmonies...that has disaster written all over it.

@IZaya2011 I don't know when the last time you were under Hain's direction was, but he's actually not that bad, I don't know if you saw Carmina, but it was great, then they did Lux Aeterna this past year and it was nothing short of phenominal. The real problem is 1) the muic department is sorely underfunded and 2) half the kids in the choir are there for an easy A, not to sing.

@CreateCliches No offense but I've played under both of directors at this school and they are both pretty bad...Hanes has no idea about music and Abney prefers fun time over music time.

Ugh. That song. It sucked the first time the SHS orchestra had to play it, and it sucked this time too.
The orchestra is totally drowned out. The band is pompously loud and not in a good way. As always. When are they going to learn that orchesta, band, and choir cannot co-exist at that school. The whole band CANNOT play with the whole orchestra. Drowns it out.
