This video introduces in about ten minutes time to all major aspects of the revolutionary SDR transceiver ZS-1, developed and produced by Alexandr Gromov of St. Petersburg, Russia. It shows tuning as well as adjustding bandwith, controlling noise filter, and much more. You can see how ZS-1 work together with multimode software, and how to do QRP work with it.

How does the receiver performance compare with e. g. a Perseus?

Hi, Ralf - not having compared ZS-1 in each and every aspect with e.g. Perseus, Winradio G33DDC (Excalibur PRO) and SDR-IP, the receiving part of ZS-1 is more than on par with Perseus which it surpasses by far regarding sensitivity. 73 Nils, DK8OK

Excellent video. Where/when is this transceiver available from? As Tracey said it is a pity it does not have a wider coverage!

We developed new version ZeusSDR, it's 2.3 now. Now, any HAM can try this version in IQ player mode without ZS-1 transceiver.

SDR is very exciting. What are the chances of the software being cross platform? Whether it be available to run in a browser, which could allow for remote operation, or if possible to allow for operation on Macs and Linux.

Good luck with this project. I look forward to seeing more in the future. 73 K5WRN

About tuning below 1.5 MHz: Have you tried to set the tuner frequency to just that? With a bandwidth of 1,5 MHz it should be possible to get down to 0 kHz, right? (ignoring internal filters, etc.)
