Laura Scott dances a Hornpipe to the fiddle playing of Ed Pearlman and the guitar playing by Mark Murray. Laura Scott is top in her field. She is an accomplished Scottish Dancer and instructor. Laura resides in Maine. Ed Pearlman is a Master Scottish Fiddler, originally from the Chicago area and moved to Boston for 20yrs. Ed Directed the Boston Scottish Fiddle Club for 18yrs. Both are founders and members of Highland Soles. Mark Murray is an accomplished guitarist.Filmed at Boston Collage by Sam Ruest For Buddy MacMaster's 80th Birthday. Sound system by Sam Ruest

Did women dance the hornpipe in the 19th century? I can't find any videos on Youtube of men dancing the hornpipe, and I thought that in its hayday the hornpipe was danced principally by men.
