I used a simple pole-cam rig for most of this video of springtime crust ski-skating. The cam rattles, but the effect is kinda cool. The rig is just a gorilla-pod and duct-tape. I suppose what I really need is a camera with a better stabilizer mode and one of those GoPro mounts. By Jeff Potter of http://OutYourBackdoor.com, HQ for indie outdoor culture.
Very clever. I enjoyed the ride.
All my golf course experience is in the summer. Look what I'm missing!!

Hey Jeff - that pole came is great! You got some really cool angles. VERY nice skiing conditions too! The only thing I've seen like your pole camera was in a video of longboard skateboarders in Hawaii. A guy had a pole cam anchored in a backpack, or strapped to his back, so you got a view from above of his face, legs, etc. Keep up the good videos! Tim

I have to hand it to you, that's genious! Or if someone else invented this, (s)he is. No way to be out of the picture with a cam pointed up a long pole...
I SO envy you for those conditions...
