Firma Onrust TV special with Jungle Brothers and A Tribe Called Quest. Includes interviews and live footage from the Effenaar, Eindhoven show on 13-3-1990.
@Blballerboy Maybe so, but I have my doubts about it, especially from a pretty reliable review I read about Beats, Rhymes, and Life. The basic point of the review I read stated that what was glossed over in B, R, & L was the POLITICAL (hint, hint) origins behind the creation of ATCQ. Also, key things like the line, "Industry Rule 4,080/Record company people are shady". How can you NOT bring that up in a documentary purporting to be about ATCQ???
@chj2 This is awsome, but in no WAY better then the Documentary beats, rhymes, life of a tribe called quest. You should actually watch something before you dis it.
In 1990 I was protesting for an intercultural center at my majority Jewish University (Brandeis). Like Jarobi and Ali Shaheed were saying we all felt a drive to be more Afrocentric.
