Telus HTC Touch Pro 2 with built-in GPS and Google Maps

Telus do not advertise this option (probably to make sure you buy the Telus Navigator option each mouth) but the HTC Touch Pro 2 of Telus has a built-in GPS. Just install Google Maps a choose use GPS option and its ready to go!

I just went to Google in my HTC browser and clicked on "more" and "maps" and it asked if I wanted to download the application. It was pretty simple to use.

okay so i have an lg dare and i was wondering how to remove the telus navigator my mom doesnt especially like to pay $10.00 more a month on top of $40.00 any tips? fast...

@mrupperscore yeah you can. GPS is phone related feature not simcard.

@2phalanges just google for google maps for touch pro2, you will find results. its free to download but if you use it without data plan it is gonna cost you more that your phone.

I will suggest you to buy either TOmTom or Garmin for windows mobile and install it on your SD card. You pay once or you can find some cracked versions without paying for it and you never have to worry about data plans or bills.
