As a 21 year old in Vietnam in 1967, this song gave me comfort in a very trying place
and time. As a 67 year young Grandfather of two wonderful Granddaughters,
it still brings comfort to my soul.
Thank you

Fellow Veteran,
Many thanks for your kind comments. I am truly a blessed person to have had the opportunity to serve my Country, and live a life
of hard work and opportunity.
I just recd Father's Day cards from my Son, his Wife, and my
two wonderful Granddaughters. It is so wonderful to be appreciated
because it makes sacrifices so easy.
May all the goodness that this Life provides be yours!
Again, thank you for your kind comments,
Tony aka "Popi"

as a child in 1967, i always heard this song on the old radio Veronica in the Netherlands. I didn't understand the lyrics but, somehow it always made me cry. Now, 46 years later, i cannot listen to this song without a tear in my eye.

I suggested this song for prom.
I stayed there all night waiting for them to play it. Then the last song came... And finally...
Nothing.
I've lost all hope in my own generation.
Shit, my generation doesn't even know "My Generation".

Hi Lucia,
I feel sorrow for your losses. I've always considered myself blessed
in returning and finding employment in a Fortune 10 company, and retiring from that company after 30 years
.
Today's returning Veterans are not being treated with the respect
that our great Country owes them. I feel sorrow for this also.
May the best that Life has to offer, come your way!
Tony
