Today, Google is launching VERTICALS, which stands for Visually-Enhanced Real-Time Integrated Coordinated Aerial & Locational System, a new product that will take Google Maps & Buzz to the next level. Google VERTICALS harnesses the power of our feathered friends to bring real time images to the web.

"Here at Google we're always thinking of innovative ways to enhance our products. VERTICALS allows us to improve both Maps and Buzz simultaneously. Each time you Buzz from your cell phone, if there is a bird in the area equipped with our special device, it will then be dispatched to snap a photo of the buzzer in that location," says Google's Chief Engineer, Mike Robins.

The Social Blade Show is a weekly webcast that airs Thursdays at 10pm Eastern. Stop by our site for more info: http://SocialBlade.com/show

  • @Urgo6667 wow you had me convinced it was something you put together. very cool.

  • @coolvidzdude That was actually AT google HQ in CA in their sort of garden area in the middle of their buildings. I was there in 2009 and got some pictures. That being said, I used a green screen to put myself there this time :)

  • haha this was good. what was that contraption you were in front of in the first part. the one that has the google name on it. the interview is VERY google like too.

  • @Urgo6667 Only because you told me. Though, if I had only known it was at the beach, I would have assumed the McD's because of the seagull.

  • @regularguy5mb Thanks :) You recognize the part filmed near you? Hehe

  • LOL

  • does the 3d google work still?

  • The most contrived, awkward three minutes of video I've ever watched.
