http://go.tagjag.com/neti - My entire life, I've dealt with being stuffed up. I've always had problems with my ears, nose and throat. When I started stuffing up recently, I decided to take a new and drastic approach. I wanted to try something I had seen on YouTube, that supposedly really works... a Neti Pot. It looks weird and awkward, yes. But apparently, it works! http://chris.pirillo.com - http://geeks.pirillo.com

  • dont use tap water.

    possible infections/brain rot

  • I bought mine in 2004 from an Indian company, and it was the best purchase I've ever made. I was hesistant as many are, but was absolutely desperate for relief. The technique shown here and most others is what's called Stage 1, but there's a Stage 2 technique which thoroughly cleans the sinuses, which you draw the water into your mouth (is shown on the DVD that comes with the pot), which gets everything out and the relief is enormous. Then you blow your nose very gently to get the water out.

  • @aradiapaganus erm-- I forgot to give measurements for 1/4 tsp baking soda and 8oz warm water. Sorry. Getting sleepy here. :-P

  • You can use canning/pickling salt or even rock salt that is ground very fine (I use a morter and pestle + tea strainer). The salt used simply needs to be pure salt (table salt generally contains idodine and anti-clumping agents). A good recipe is 1/2 tsp salt + 1/4 baking soda + warm water-- it really saves money to make your own neti pot 'salt'. :-)

  • I'm weirdly attracted to you...? What can I say, I love sexy nerds. :/ <333333

  • I remember this dude from "techTV" kinda miss that show..

  • @doomwaffle20001 You hold your breath when you do it. It takes a little getting used to but it really helps me. I suffer from severe allergies.

  • I recently had a septoplasty to fix my deviated septim and have had serious inflammation and stuffed up nostrils since the procedure. Going to try one of these tomorrow for some relief until the process heals up, and probably after because I have the same issues as you.

  • I came here when i saw Cougar Town do it!

  • hi, this is just a tip that i've come across, but I've read that it's important to blow your nose extremely gently after using the neti pot. The way you're doing it in this video may actually cause more sinus irritation. It's one of the most common mistakes.
