American VS Asian Cosplay

I hope that you see the point I am trying to make with this video.



I made this video to show that every one, no matter what race they are can cosplay I think that anyone who puts enough time, money and care into cosplay can be a good cosplayer. Also I would like to point out the amount of photoshop used in many peoples photography pictures can sway your belief on whether it is good or not good. Further more it is a hobby, not a competition.

This is a nice video. I think sometimes Japanese people "ganbaru" so hard with everything they do, trying to making everything perfect. If it's not perfect, it's unthinkable. Sometimes westerners cosplay just for the fun of it, and emphasis is placed on enjoyment rather that perfection/making sure every single hair is in place. Of course that's a generalization and not always true.

Okay, I'm just getting this out of the way. I'm a Western Cosplayer, and I have to make most of my costumes. Most of the Cosplayers over here don't have shops to go to, to buy the Cosplay outfits. Mine aren't perfect, my friends' aren't perfect...but they're pretty good. So, if I were you, I would just drop this whole thing. Cosplay is just for fun, it's costume play.
