the prob with dream theatre is their too technical. their riffs sound to already done before like an updated version of boston. fates warning invented a whole new sound their timing changes are unreal. john arch is the better singer his vocals are way more melodic than ray alders.

For me Dream Theaters are the better one, because in Fates Warning, I miss the real in-ear-going melodies - technic perfect, Song writing hmmm...
The best is still NEAL MORSE!!!!

such a queensryche rip tho, I mean no one on here mentions the queensryche wanna be's of all these bands, look at the ryche for all this crap's inspiration, the ep, the warning, rage for order, operation mindcrime c'mon. I did like FW tho and I bought this album when it came out. But a definate QR rip

dream theater maybe better but ill tell you one thing no one comes close to these vocals

i like dream theatre and fates warning, ppl dont have to compare them to each other constantly its pointless they are both great bands in their own right.

they are great but i preffer queensryche

dream theather is not boring but fates is really better!! :)
