@TheDonpiccolo I have a hard time believing you.

Very moving. Coaches play this for your teams every year.

I met Brian in summer of '68 (I think) when he came back to Wake Forest and dropped by the Sigma Chi house. He had pledged but never inducted because of football, but said he wished he'd become a member. I think everyone considers him a brother. He was a real cool guy, a memory I still have to this day. When WF calls every year for an alumni donation, I give half to the school and half to the Piccolo fund.

Don, thanks for sharing that. And, if you were a fan back then, and watching this today does not bring a tear to your eye, better get that checked out. Two better role models I cannot think of.

I was only 4 when Brian passed but I still feel him to this day. Brian and Walter in the backfield kicking butt.

Wow. Thank you for sharing this with us.

@TheDonpiccolo - If Jesus Christ had been walking this earth in 1970, Brian would not have died.

@TheDonpiccolo My blessings to you on the 40th anniversary of the premiere of the standard-bearing television movie 'Brian's Song'.
Hi, to all that view this. What a wonderful legacy these two fine men left.
Brian Piccolo was my kid brother. I will always love and miss him dearly. Never got to meet Walter, that was certainly my loss.
Thank you to the great city of Chicago for loving them.
With love to all,
"may all your troubles be Piccolo"
