This is a free preview of the DVD program "Storm Chase May 29, 2004 Harper/Sumner Counties, Kansas Tornado Outbreak by Robert Prentice." It contains brief video clips set to music.
My chase partners and I video taped the entire lifecycle of this incredible tornadic supercell.
The first tornado was captured almost in its entirety from touchdown to dissipation as it gracefully tracked from Attica to Crystal Springs, Kansas.
We were within a few hundred yards of the second tornado touchdown two miles northeast of Anthony, Kansas. Fast-paced action highlights our pursuit of this ever-changing tornado as well follow it from behind at close range to Freeport, Kansas. Satellite tornadoes were also video taped.
We video a fast-moving tornado strike a homestead west of Freeport, Kansas.
Another tornado grew to giant proportions as it tracked between Freeport to Argonia, Kansas.
We video taped the touchdown of an incredible multi-vortex tornado north of Milan, Kansas and video taped it into its "wedge" stage near Conway Springs, Kansas.
The storm produced its last tornado in the fading twilight near Anson, Kansas.
The program is capped by a compelling, original music video which showcases my best 35mm images from this storm as well as time lapse video of the supercell thunderstorm and its tornadoes.
