  • @drutimann what did u expect? It's Expert Village.

  • I like this guy. He's cool :)

  • @CE818 The problem is that he doesn't know what he's talking about and he's giving bad advice despite the fact that he's supposed to be an "expert"

  • "your longest run should be 20/20 miles..."

  • It pisses me off that this guy is giving advice....I'm not even qualified to give advice, lol.

  • MrEndura's comments are correct. Doing a long run 10 days before the marathon would be a catastrophe.

I was advised to do the last long run no sooner than 21days before the marathon. After that run, those next two weeks and the week of the marathon, you will do what's called "tapering." By the time the race comes around, you should be debating whether you're "rested or rusted," haha. Hopefully it's the former.

  • Long run 10 days before a Marathon? You must be kidding me.

Do a hot tub after a long run to relax? It just keeps getting better.

If you are a first timer, do not listen to this guy. He is dangerous!

How would I know? I have run several Ultra and standard Marathons in the top 10% finisher field.

  • He is not an "expert." He played water-polo in high school. He is very slow (look up his times), and that's probably because he doesn't train properly. Please seek better advice. It is hard not to find it. PS- The 20 mile run should be 30 days before, not 10.

  • watch my vid about 5k's on my channel "Cicirunner."
