loads of people know he's scottish! he also sounds loads better when he talks like it and i would love to hear him sing with a sottish accent.

Oh right, I think I hear him mention that in friday night project or buzzcocks xD can't really remember which. I don't understand the American kids though, I simply adore the scottish accent (:

yes he did to Illinois in 1976! Thats how he got his American accent - it was a, kind of, defense mechanism because the kids at his school used to bully him because of his Scottish accents. He still uses his Scottish accent when he's with his family and close friends.

Not many people know this, but John's not an American. I believe he's actually Scottish. He learned to speak phonetically when he became an actor, but when he's with his family he lets the accent bleed through. Otherwise he's sound very neutral.

And yes, he's a brilliant guy. :)
