This cartoon as well as Raymond Briggs The Snowman has a special place in my heart where the majic of childhood still dwells deep within, waiting to be poured out and passed on to my son who has yet to see such creations of wonder. I can hardly wait!

My son had this book as a gift from his grandparents (with his name replacing that of "the boy"). I used to read it to him, at night, when he was little. I'd get to a certain part of the book and couldn't read any more because I was crying! He's 11 now, and we still talk about my "emotional moments" :-))))
Hey , she's Meryl , she can do anything as far I'm concerned! I never knew it was her reading this story until just recently ,when I had seen her in a few movies!
