My grandpa loved the 488, when he was an engineer for the denver and rio grande. He believed it was the only locomotive that felt like a real train, that he could trust to get him from cumbres all the way to durango. Of course this was back in the old days when tracks were connected, but never the less a great video of one of the best steam locomotives the 488.

That is really neat thanks for sharing. Mine currently is 488. Nice whistle, and feels like it runs very well.
