Lyrics (English translation):

My puppy
isn't here
he has white feet and a white tail
we were together all the time

my puppy
isn't here
he has white ears and a white back
even though we were always together

My tears have dried up
everyday I hope
hurry
come back

rainy days and windy days
but everyday I know
I want you

so hurry, hurry come back

  • it is composed of random french word and doesn't make any sense i dont think because i heard that many people are trying to translate it but what they forgot is the composer Yoko Kanno DOESN'T KNOW FRENCH...she probably took out some of the french words and rhyme them together.

  • the second part is french hahah

  • Thanks sooo much for the upload!! I've been looking for almost a decade now, went well with hard luck women from cowboy bebop. Very smooth song

  • @jccarlyle actually, the second part isn't French either. It's a language Yoko Kanno made up, but it sounds a LOT like French

  • finally found this song. so good...

  • There's a big clue in the video as to which album it's from: Cowboy Bebop "Blue"

  • It's interesting that what is weird in one culture is totally accepted in another. Yet we take so much from other cultures all the time. I mean seriously, how many American pop stars can sing a song about wanting their puppy back? It's so sweet and I could care less if someone would laugh at the lyrics to this song, I kinda did too but it's still so heartwarming.

  • Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are the two best TV shows ever made.

  • meow meow meow
