  • this guy was paid by GM for this stunt.

  • The story this guy is telling is full of holes. First, you can see by the way he tells his story, he isn't being entirely truthful. Second, the prius is one of the only cars toyota makes that disables the throttle if both the brake and accelerator are pressed. And finally who calls the police for help when their car is out of control?? That is unless you're looking for attention and to give the media something to report on the evening news

  • liar!

  • I love his black Jacket embalzooned with his name "Jim"

    and a logo that says

"CORVETTE OWNERS CLUB OF SAN DIEGO" he said he won't drive his Prius again cause he's getting a free GM car !

  • you called 911 before you put it in neutral or turned it off? what has this world come to when self preservation has become 2nd to notifying the police?

  • @DAGSTERZ26, I trust the U.S. Government investigators and the Toyota Company even less. I smell foul in this case from the start, first about him & later from Toyota. The last thing they needed was problems they were already having in other models to appear in their flag ship Hybrid vehicle. Something went wrong with the car, that is for sure. Now, properly attributing blame between him and the company is the tricky part over the hype of the incident.

  • That guy even looks like a GM car dealer. I don't trust him.

  • I would not buy a used car from Sikes if he wore a checkered sports jacket and neon green polyester pants. The Prius incident is a complete hoax.

  • Sorry folks I have done my investigation its not a mechanical issue its a lease issue....

How to get out of a Prius lease, stick your foot on the gas stick your foot on the brakes call the cops, methods my ass he wanted out of his lease/

  • This is from investigators report. I am gonna copy and paste.

Data from on-board computers indicated that Sikes had applied the brakes and gas pedal, alternately, at least 250 times during the incident.
