@strumped1 Thorpe is an amazing athlete who will go down in history. He was around before Phelps came along & was "the next big thing" but then Phelps stole his thunder & outshone him. Both are amazing athletes.

i think phelps is more rounded as a swimmer, but really thorpe's 400 free world record will be around for a long time IMO.
