bam bam decides when he wants to play this game usually he is in his cage beating on the bars

I think my bird gets mood swings. Sometimes hes on my shoulder and i give him a neck scratch and hes all nice. Other times when hes on my brothers shoulder and i tell him to step up on my finger he bites :/ Any idea why ?

sounds like its just his way of saying hes fine where he is. bam bam will never step up ever unless he needs a ride somewhere where he cant get to like up on the couch (he cant fly and is pretty old) otherwise if you put out your finger your sure to get bitten. birds take on their own personality and can be quiet moody. bam bam has a fear of hands possibly from his first owner ?? we have never been able to pet him but he'll let you kiss his head.
