Obama Care is being argued in federal court on its constitutionality, on whether or not congress has the constitutional authority to compel people to buy a product sold by a certain industry. Of course they do not, but that will be up to the court to decide. Why will it be up to them? Because in this country we live by a thing called 'the rule of law", and the day that we do not is the day that we are no better than banana republic.

OK, you got me on that one, because we have already not lived up to the rule of law, for example, when Bush bailed out the auto industry without congressional approval, illegally using the TARP (bank bailout money) to do it. But the difference, in my defense, is that it was not challenged. Without a challenge to an illegal act, it is in a way not illegal, as was the case involving the Tyrant's of Bush and Obama bailing out the auto industry. I could go on about the illegal auto industry bailout, about how Obama, by the nod of his head, deprived the secured bond holders of the auto companies what was legally theirs, and then gave it to the auto unions, but that is in another video I made at the time, so I will get back to the "crime" at hand.

If you listen to the entire argument, and if you're a traditionalist as I am, then you will realize just how far the commerce clause of the constitution has been stretched. They discuss things that will blow your mind (not in the part I uploaded), about the powers that the federal government has over our lives byway of this commerce clause in the constitution. If our founders came back they would truly be amazed at the power that the federal government has stolen from the states despite the tenth amendment being added to the constitution. But they would also be amazed at the progress that we have made because of the "stretching" of the constitution; it has not all been bad. But then again, it could be compared to a criminal giving some of their ill-gotten money to charity; it is a good thing, but it was still done through illegal means.

  • Oh look more political bs....

  • @Xcarpedeimx In what way? I'm interested to hear more.

  • UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!! i thank you jbanstetter04. i missed this and can always stay informed here. i think it's scary that this is even a debate!

  • @515shawn It was 3 hours long, and I only watched a little over an hour of it. I thought that this part here wrapped it up pretty well. One thing people must remember is that a court is not free to do just whatever it wants, it must follow binding precedent. As we know, settled law is settled law. But as for this case, it's not settled law....it will set a new precedent. Then after the Supreme Court rules on it, it it will be a binding precedent, one securing the peoples liberty.

  • Our Federal government has no constitutional authority to force people to buy health insurance. In addition, it has no constitutional authority to force people to violate their conscience by paying an insurance premium with an insurance company that is forced by the federal government to provide baby killing drugs. There is no "opt out"-either through your company's plan or government run health care, your premium goes toward a plan that covers baby killing drugs under the guise of "health".

  • @ExcellentAmerican the Federal govt has failed to address inflation in health care itself where on cannot pay for medical services in cash. Unfortunately our govt has decided to go the scam route and some of the population think that is okay and don't take a closer look at how the medical industry can keep price gouging people that simply don't make enough to keep up with the higher costs. Entire in the health insurers and you are definitely not getting what you pay for.

  • @nnndddnnnddd Nothing that you say is to the point. The point is that the federal government has no authority to mandate that I buy health insurance.

Fact, health care is way more expensive that it used to be. A long time ago people would get ill and then die a few weeks later at home with their family, but now they can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on you to keep you alive. So what can constitutionally be done about it? A payroll tax system like Germany has might be constitutional.

  • @ExcellentAmerican if you can afford healthcare but choose not to buy it tax payers foot the bill so you can live another day.

debt is incurred because you couldnt cover the full cost of care you knew you wouldnt be denied. why? because others will just pay for it until you can pay paid the debt.

no insurance? losing your leg to diabetes you fat america bovine? cant afford it?

go die because money is more important.

  • Obama wins!

    Woot

  • China!!! Russia!!! Help!!! Please invade Washington D.C. and establish morals and ethics throughout our nation!!!
