Run For Your Life (Long Version) Screamin lead guitar through one of the best small amps in my opinion. The Studio 22 Kicks butt. A jam from 2005. Gibson Les Paul Studio. A little over the top in that I should be paying more attention to making beautiful sounds but wtf I was just trying to go for it. This eventually turned into something Rodney wrote titled "Run For Your Life". -- . Paul Vickers - Guitar, Rodney Harris - Drums, Shane Bogan - Bass Guitar.
I decided to stop trying to pre-screen for good stuff and just put it all online. We don't practice, we just play. There's some good stuff here plenty of mistakes but we're doing it because we enjoy it. Feel free to comment or not but I appreciate ya watching! Rock On!

  • Who the fuck?! great player! wtf!? didn't expect to see playing like that from a local band. amazing.

Sir on the guitar, I've been wanting to buy a les paul. Do you think that the studio plays as good as the standard? Hard decision due to the large diff in price.

  • @lonestar7703 Some Studio LP's Studios have the same pickups as some standards. something like 490t and 498t. This studio here has an ebony fingerboard where I guess more common is rosewood same as standards. Generally they don't have binding like the standards. I can't say that I've played a "bad" Les Paul Studio or otherwise.

  • Thank You JackieEstacadoNY.

  • Only the amp for distortion? Or any stomp boxes?

  • @phfrixion I haven't been using too many effects although I will be using them again no doubt. The Studio 22+ comes with a Mesa footswitch to go from clean to distorted. Generally I adjust it via the user manual...they give settings for tones you might want, and then I tweak from there. I will guess that the knobs are adjusted from left to right somewhere around 6 4 3 5 5 5 2 7. volume, master, lead master, treble, bass, middle, reverb and presence. Hope that answer wasn't overkill. See Ya!

  • SG, You've hit the benefits...light, small and loud. Funny that you mention tube screamer as I have tried them before and have been thinking of getting one. All I've been using lately is the footswitch that comes with the Studio.

  • your mesa sounds beautiful!!!!!

  • Oh, BTW, if you don't aleady know...a modified 808 chip TS-9 Tube Screamer will make the Studio .22 one mean sounding little bastard! I love that combo!

  • I love my Mesa Boogie Studio .22 so much, I bought another one!!! Now I have a .22+ too. They sound identical. The advantage being that they're small so I can still carry them (with my messed up back) and they fit in the back of my old 300ZX Turbo, which is very limited space! They sound as good as a freaking half stack, and now I can put one on each side of the room, or just stack 'em. Possibly the best little tube amps in the world!!! I will have these puppies for the rest of my life!!!
