  • My aunt is on the far left with the long blonde curly hair. She made this dance up. She is doing a show at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio. My Aunt, Lisa Layne, is the original valientte who recorded " All I Want For Christmas Is You ".

  • What a great opportunity it was for her to be a Valiantette and be the one picked to sing a chart topper like All I Want for Christmas is You. She must be very grateful to Vince Vance for giving her the opportunity of a life time to be the one to sing one of the greatest Christmas songs ever written.

Everyone knows Vince Vance and Troy Powers wrote All I Want for Christmas is you, but still so many ask who the girl is that sings it... that just amazes me.

  • This video rocks. Vince Vance great showmanship as always and musicians-all great. Drummer/singer (he's great), guitar player/ singer- GREAT-He's also great in I Only Want to be With You video; and the Valianettes (I see you Lisa). ALL great and good looking too. All I can say is "THEY'RE GREAT"

  • Lisa Layne is HOT

  • Very special.. btw...I see Vince often hes doin well :-)

  • Yes, Carl "Luke" Gunnstaks played the part of Luke Strange bassist for Vince Vance & the Valiants in both the late 70s to mid 80s!

"Tchoupitoulas" is the spelling so you go directly to jail.

  • Boo! Hi Terri! I love it! Is he playing (around here) anywhere before Christmas?

  • Hey Vinnie.

I was a "groupie" when you guys played Whiskey River in Dallas and sang "Bomb Iran". That song might be on the way back, who knows.

My question is if Luke Gunnstaks, an attorney here in Dallas area, is one and the same as your former bass player?

Thanks, by the way, you need to have to find if anyone sober enough can spell "tschoupitoulas". Having a mom from Southern La., she says that was a great prank. Kind of like a DWI cop asking you to recite the alphabet.

  • Hey, STG, I resemble that remark! Can't wait to get to Decatur. Illinois people know how to throw a party. It's gonna be our greatest concert EVER! I'm bringing an extra case of hairspray. I'm diggin' you. Vinnie

  • The first time I seen these guys I thought they were weird.(I think in '89'.) But when I hung around long enough to see the crowd respond, it perked my interest of them. Now everytime V V is scheduled to come to the Decatur Celebration, I have to stay & watch the antics & the theatrics of V V. HEY VINCE; They say your coming this year again. Can't wait to see you perform.
