In my opinion one of the best Verdi baritones ever!
Such a dark and powerful voice on the bottom and the middle and how the high notes shine... unbelieveable!

Mellifluous, masculine, and perfectly phrased. Can't imagine it getting better.

La voce di Bastianini, verdiano puro, è persino troppo bella per questo ruolo da cattivo, le intenzioni drammaturgiche e musicali sembrano inoltre un tantino piatte, lo vedo meglio in altri ruoli...ed aspetto valanghe di improperi !
