Original AAGPBL players singing "We're the members of the All-American League. We come from cities near and far. We've got Canadians, Irish ones, and Swedes. We're all for one, we're one for all. We're all Americans...." at the 2006 All-Star FanFest in Pittsburgh, PA.
It really brings you to tears.

  • a league of their own truly helps us all to realize what these ladies did for history and for women what they sacrificed and how truly talented they really are. beautiful beautiful song, great women, and one of my favorite movies. amazing piece of history.

  • A few years ago I was at a baseball card show in Chicago. There was a booth with some of the original players from the AAGPBL. One of them was Levon "Pepper" Paire Davis, the woman who co-wrote the league anthem. I asked her if she wouldn't mind singing a small snippet from the song. She organized ALL OF THEM (6) and sang the whole song. I was lucky enough to bring my video camera with me that day and recorded the entire song. It's become one of my prized possessions!

  • never forget these girls never

  • love this!

  • @Helicon2112 Its quite clear you NEVER heard a choir.

  • i saw All the Way May at the Angels fanfest it was so cool

  • The voices sound like they come out of A League of Their Own

  • That said, the harmony was lovely. It actually sounded better here than in the movie. :-)

  • Furthermore, they're part of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, or "members of the All-American League" (as they say in the song), so "we're All-American" is also an allusion to that. In other words, no matter their social background or heritage, they're all now equal members of the AAGPBL.

  • i would have cried so hard if i was there
