This is a walkthrough instructional video to help people figure out:

A) Whats needed to build their custom enclosure
B) How to build their custom enclosure
C) Which ways to set up their custom enclosure.

Now I know this is for my tegu but this similar setup could easily be used for your savanna monitor, a couple adult bearded dragons or whatever you want to put in it. I have some great ideas for arboreal reptiles such as chameleons and green tree monitors so if you want to probe my mind for thoughts by all means just ask :) If you have any further questions about the enclosure feel free to ask as well.

Thanks!

Videos of Alphonse himself to come!

**EDIT**

With the fake plants I do go over that some people say not to put them in the enclosure as they usually will get knocked over, but I don't really say much in terms of what you can do, so here we go. Basically stapling the fake plants to the sides and back makes it so that they are where they are and wont move, if you put them up to the point where he wont get tangled in them or pull them off the wall, such as shown, it will be perfectly fine and add a nice touch aesthetically another option would be the plants with the suction cups as mentioned just make sure they aren't hanging too low as the suction cup probably wont hold against the melamine as well as a staple. Hanging plants from the roof would also look nice but don't go too close to your heat source as you may be setting up a lovely fire hazard. :)

Fire hazard = bad. :o

  • best thing to do is seal the plywood then title it

  • @twistedpixe Yeah thats a really good idea too. I was thinking of doing that as well but the melamine finish worked nicely. Definitely not a bad idea though.

  • with ply you might be able to protect it with some non toxic stuff like what they use for kids toys or something, great vid, thinking about getting a tegu myself, depends if i have the room though cos they need BIG enclosures xD

  • @alyman01 Really? I had no idea :P
