Being of the 2nd generation Mod/Ska/2-Tone era... alas I wasn't born when the Small Faces were doing their thing.

This Weller performance was and still is simply stunning and it led to me "discovering" SF's.

Of course, the first time I played the original, I was absolutely blown away.

I couldn't envisage that it could possibly be any more exciting than this version but as we all know SF's recording of this song is about as good as music can get .

Well it was a tribute to Steve and I think he does a great job, he wasn't trying to do it like Steve, no one could, even a talent like weller. I love max Beasley on keyboard lookin like he's havin the time of his life , and the backing vocals sound great, even if one of em looks like me nanan.
