Making wedding centerpieces on a budget can be done by finding mismatched vases at thrift stores, filling the vases with fruit and adorning them with a sprig of baby's breath. Create inexpensive centerpieces that add color to a wedding table scape with advice from an event coordinator in this free video on weddings.

  • i think this would have been a lot prettier if you would have used ribon instead and maybe just some greenary instead of the flowers if you are concerened about budget ( I think if you can afford it you shoud stick a few flowers like daisys in there as well ) . Your version seems to be a little undirected. The lemons are fresh and the babys breath is old looking .

  • that is soooo ugly.

  • I think it's just fine. This is a budget idea. So, no, It's not going to be over the top. For bride on a budget, this is great. I have done this same thing, in a thinner vase using sliced lemons or lines.

  • You must be kidding. This centerpiece looks awful and pitiful.

Maybe it would have looked better with fresh yellow flowers instead of babies breath.

The tulle didn't look so hot either - maybe yellow ribbon would have been better.

  • thanks! and yes the vases from goodwill is a great idea. I just found a set of six large crystal vases at a local thrift store for $1.50. Then I shopped around online and saw that I could have paid over $70 for them! Thank god for thrift stores!

  • Maybe if she used ribbon around the vase instead of tulle it would look better. And you can get nice ribbon from the dollar store if your looking to save money

  • The lemons are $1 per 5. Flowers are much more. The cheapest quote I got from my grocer was $2 per bud for white roses. Therefore, 5 roses in each vase is $10. With 10 tables, you have 100 dollars in flowers alone. Not including vase.

  • I love the idea, but I agree with chicogirl84, would like more color, but may steal this idea for my wedding centerpiece...

  • well....with the money you buy the lemons you can buy flowers and give more color to this sad centerpiece

  • That's a really ugly centerpeice in my opinion. The overall idea isn't bad though.
