From the Rogue Wave Benefit Concert in San Francisco on September 30th. The rant went on for almost twice as long as this - I only started recording about half way through. AFter seeing the Grammy's last night, I thought it was particularly funny.

@xBlAcKxxIcEx i guess that's a possibility, but death cab is so against the whole music-food-chain thing. ben gibbard writes some kick ass lyrics, and then they work together to make the actual music. and since they have the option, they release it to the world. they'd be just as happy living in their parents' basements making the same beautiful music they do today. or at least that's what i'd like to believe.

He's probably frustrated that a "band" that is....decent at best, is getting more attention than them, who obviously have more overall musical talent and ability.

But then again, it's like comparing fast food to fine cuisine.
