All current great cities have been built by exploiting something one way or another. I am obviously not saying its right but it is necessary to achieve a city a of this magnitude in such a short time. Read a book called Bad Samaritans, its shows this from a more economic perspective.

On another note, all the slave bullshit is nearly non-existant now-a-days as human rights are being more strictly enforced.

Beautiful. The sound of the water coming down really adds to the piece. I always imaged sitting on the beach of a carribean island listening to waves with this song. This is the closest to my weird dream ill ever hear. It really does add to the song

Oh yes I agree with you, but I was talking about UAE in particular though.

Prostitution is there because the demand of it form foreigners is also existant. There was even a decent amount of it in Dubai that was eradicated not so long ago. Furthermore, the ones who are exploiting child labour are also foreign mostly western based business giants who seek to outsource people for huge profit margins. The only way it will end is if all the demand for it ends.

Slavery still exist. Never heard of China (factory, mines), Africa (mines, child soldier) or South-East Asia (child soldier, a bit of factory, prostitution)? And yes, I know it's not only there, espescially for prostitution but it's the "mains" areas.
