  • OK, here's how to actually play it. Put your index finger on the fifth fret of your sixth string, then play these notes:

    6th string:5th and 8th frets

    5th: 5th, 6th, and 7th frets

    4th: 5th and 7th frets

    3rd: 5th, 7th, and 8th frets

    2nd: 5th and 8th frets

    1st: 5th and 8th frets

Congratulations, you just played an A minor blues scale! Play it up and down, shift the pattern along the fretboard, play it over a chord progression you recorded, whatever. Have fun!

  • ...I don't think my fingers will ever move that fast...I think I'm going to need an actual teacher if I'm ever going to become truly skilled at guitar...

  • @gairabad Thanks :) I'll work on that :)

  • atleast he mentioned thrash metal

  • you know....this isnt a nice way of teaching....using all these musical terms....if you havent mastered the bluesscale yet, youll probably have no clue what hes talking about!

  • @dreidl19380

Find songs you like that are easy to play. Learn you basic chords. Practice. Practice. Practice. Practice. Learn your scales(maybe even your keys and notes in totality which would be awesome), either find backing tracks or more complicated songs you want to learn and dick around or practice, and keep dicking around and practicing. Also avoid ExpertVillage. You don't need to be taught, you just need to play more and hopefully fall in love the better you get =)

  • YEESS, I'm better than him at guitar!! :D:D

  • Deal or No Deal.

  • i counted that he said "scale" 19 times. lol

  • this video is "watch me play and count how many times i say the word scale"

  • @waitaminute991 you may wish to look up the definition for grace note, because the 6th note added in this case isn't a grace note. Its a properly added note and defines the difference between the pentatonic scale and blues scale.

  • that's incorrect. a pentatonic IS a blues scale all you did was flat one not that's jus

t a grace note not a new scale
