Maxine Levy, heart attack survivor, spoke at a panel hosted by Sharron Hayes, M.D., director Women's Heart Clinic at Mayo Clinic, and Pat Mitchell, president, CEO, The Paley Center for Media. They hosted this event in conjunction with National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, and Women Heart. She was a heart attack survivor at age 41. Now in excellent health, this bank executive credits her angioplasty, medication and most of all, her healthy lifestyle and commitment to regular exercise to her living well with heart disease. A recurring theme at this special media briefing, women need to be their own heart health advocates. Ladies, if you think you are having heart problems, take action because you know your bodies. Maxine is an example of this.
