On March 31st, 2009 the Hernando chapter of the 912 Project Network faced off with their county commissioners at a special hearing on accepting federal funds to buy foreclosed homes. FUnny thing is, none of the people who losted their homes recently in forclosure are even addressed in the Florida Neighborhood Stabilization Act. The money is being funnelled through HUD, so when a home comes on the market, they can assist a new "Very Low Income" person or persons into aquiring that home for below market value. On closer inspection of the Act from congress is turns out that we are putting another $4 trillion dollars into funding the Community Reinvestment Act of 1974. THe last time we did that was in 1996 with far less than $4 trillion dollars and we what we got was the begginning of the housing bubble. This is nuts! What happenned to us America?

  • Awesome! Great job! Of course they wouldn't listen to you, hopefully your county "voters" see this.
