www.simonleachpottery.com - Please SUBSCRIBE to my clips. I am demonstrating at the Potters Guild in Lemont , during the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts in State College, July 8th - 11th. .....maybe see you there ? KEEP PRACTICING !!! SL
Seems like a great tip to carve the pouring lip a little bit. I will try it!
I used to watch your clips a while back before you moved to the US, and I always liked them. But sincerely, I almost don't recognize you now with your beard. You look a bit like a "caveman" to me. I guess I just have to get used to the new look ?
Anyway - great video, and it's great that you try so hard - and succeed as well - to make your demonstrations come out good in the video.
The first time we met you, you gave a master class in pulling handles. I think that was 2007 at Lowerdown? I have learnt much since then, and your advice was crucial to that learning. I have learnt that the handle on a pot can be as much a signature as a seal to the base. They way the handle is applied and finished can help me to attribute a pot.
Keep the clips coming please. They are 100% appreciated
Simon, you mentioned that you could use a camera man.
Have you considered connecting a televison to the output of your camera while you are filming ?
I don't know what camera you use, but the video camera I have allows me to connect an output to a television. This means that I can monitor what the camera tapes while I am actually filming.
Maybe you could get a small cheap televison from a junk shop or something ?
It works! I have experimented with a past instructional video of yours and it does indeed improve the drip problem. I've found the abcense of glaze just on that spot helps tremendously. Have a great 4th of July in Barryville!! BFN
@DirtKickerStudio that was indeed the coolest thing i think i've ever seen. I can just imagine me trying that and ending up with very different results...
Hello Simon! its Kole, and i have thrown 10 cylindars for you but i dont have anyway of getting a photo of them because i have no access to a camera. Jerry, would have a camera but hes been busy running back and fourth going Tuscorora Nevada.

Your handles are actually a hybrid of what I have seen in the states and I really like it.
