In this lesson, you will learn part 1 of a short piece taken from the gypsyjazzschool.com home page video.
This piece demonstrates a few Gypsy jazz style phrases over an A7 chord that leads into D.
You will learn the uses of the dim7 chord over Dominant7 chords, the use of the Mixolydian b9b13 scale, the whole-tone scale and a typical Gypsy Jazz ending.

  • why do gypsy jazz guitars have the weird sound hole?

  • At last I think I've found a practical video lesson I can follow! Thankyou.

  • Very good video, your lessons seem really in depth and explain everything along the way. I've been playing guitar for almost 10 years and watching this has really helped my technique.
