www.freescale.com/metering - This video presents the MCF51EM family based poly phase meter reference design. The meter accuracy is class 0.5, supports up to 15 amperes of nominal current and 100 amperes in peaks. The design supports two wire single phase, three wire single phase and four wire three phase configurations at 110 or 230 volts. The design is configurable for 50 or 60 hertz operation. The meter's pulse constant is 800 impulses per kilowatt hour and 800 impulses per kilo var hour. The device also features RS232 configuration and diagnostics port, AMR interface connectivity and IEC 62056-21 compliant optical port. Designed and Tested against: IEC 62053-22 International Energy Metering Specification, class 0.5 (or better) for active energy IEC 62053-23 International Energy Metering Specification, class 2 for reactive energy IEC 62056-21 International Energy Metering data exchange Specification IEC 62053-22, IEC 62053-23, IEC 62052-11 Electro Static Discharge (ESD), tested per IEC 61000-4
